The combination of training in both plastic surgery and orthopedic surgery positions Dr. Calotta to have unique expertise in treating problems of the fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. Because there is such a delicate and complex interplay between bones and surrounding soft tissues, knowledge of these complimentary fields is crucial to achieving the best outcomes possible for patients. Additionally, he is passionate about caring for patients with disorders of the peripheral nervous system, especially those causing chronic pain or impaired muscle function, and patients requiring advanced reconstruction for all types of complex wounds.
